WHAT IS FOOD FOR THE SOUL?
Food for the Soul is a local, faith-based Christian mission that exists to serve as a Christ-like ministry, committed to providing food and shelter, awakening hope, and honoring dignity to those in need in Kershaw County.
Friendship has partnered with Food for the Soul to help provide meals to those in need.
Meals are served on Monday nights at Friendship from 6-7pm.
NOTE: Due to COVID-19, the FFTS facility is currently closed to the public.
HOW CAN I SERVE?
There are two primary ways you can serve on Mondays.
Monday 2:00-4:30pm: Help prepare food at The Catery on Broad (514 Rutledge St, Camden).
Monday 5:00-7:15pm: Set-up, serve food, dine with guests (post-COVID only), clean-up at Friendship in Lugoff.
Please note: We continue safe practices of all volunteers utilizing masks, gloves, distancing, etc.
If you're interested in serving in either capacity, or have questions, please fill out the form below. You will be added to an email list and begin receiving weekly correspondence from Derek Gowdy. If you'd like to serve that upcoming Monday (either cooking or serving), you can simply reply to Derek to let him know. This allows you the flexibility to serve as you're able, as well as allowing a rotation of folks to serve.
