Life on Mission

Live out your faith

WHAT IS LIFE ON MISSION ABOUT?

Life on mission is all about living out our faith. One of the biggest catalysts for our spiritual growth is putting our faith into action. When we only receive, but never give, serve, and share beyond ourselves, we become stagnant, and our growth stalls. On the other hand, healthy Christians who live on mission serve as channels through which the goodness of God flows out!

WHAT STEPS CAN I TAKE TO live on MISSION?

As sinners, we live for ourselves more than anything else! To loosen the grip of greed and selfishness in our lives, we must grow in the grace of giving, serving, and sharing. When we give financially, we invest in and fuel the work of ministry in Kershaw County & around the world. As we serve others, we reflect the heart & life of Jesus, who came not to be served, but to serve (Mark 10:45). And when we share our faith and our lives with others, we continue the work of making disciples that Jesus left for us.

GIVE: There are 3 ways to give to the work of the ministry at Friendship: online, in person, or by text. You can give as regularly as you'd like or set up recurring (automated) giving if you prefer. Check out our Give page to give or learn more.

SERVE: There are 3 ways to serve: Serve the church (regular serving), serve the community (local outreach), and serve the world (global missions). While you may gravitate towards one area, all three are important, and we can be involved in some way in each one, whether through prayer, giving, or serving.

SHARE: The Bible tells us to always be ready to give an answer for the hope we have (1 Peter 3:15). In other words, we should always be ready to point people to Jesus! He is our hope and the One who changes our hearts & lives. Above is a link to two helpful tools to help you better understand God's story and share it with others.
